Thematic Series on Cultural Sociology

The Journal of Chinese Sociology welcomes submissions to the thematic series on Cultural Sociology.

This thematic series aims to showcase cultural sociological work on Chinese society in order to further stimulate the growth of this emerging subfield in China. Contributors apply conceptual tools drawn from cultural sociology to Chinese empirical phenomena. The papers in this issue showcase diverse theoretical and methodological approaches and discuss topics ranging from social class and gender to ritual and collective memory.

Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
• Gender
• Social class
• Consumption
• Everyday life
• Collective memory

Submission instructions:
Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure you have carefully read the Instructions for Authors for The Journal of Chinese Sociology. The complete manuscript should be submitted through The Journal of Chinese Sociology submission system. To ensure that you submit to the correct thematic series please select the appropriate thematic series in the drop-down menu upon submission. In addition, indicate within your cover letter that you wish your manuscript to be considered as part of the thematic series on Cultural Sociology. All submissions will undergo rigorous peer review and accepted articles will be published within the journal as a collection.
